PROGRAM 01

Parent & Tot

Our Parent & Tot program is designed for young skaters aged 2 to 5 who would benefit from having a parent or adult helper on the ice with them during the early stages of learning to skate. This shorter-format program helps little ones acclimatize to the arena and get comfortable on the ice in a gentle, supportive setting. Led by professional coaches with support from trained assistants, the class focuses on fun, safety, and early skill development. This is a wonderful way to share your child’s first skating experience and build confidence together!

Both parent and child must be registered separately: One registration for Parent & Tot – Tot; One registration for Parent & Tot – Parent. The Skate Canada Insurance and Safe Sport Fee applies to both participants. For improved safety, all Tots are encouraged to wear a face cage with their CSA-approved hockey helmet. All parent helpers must be capable skaters and are encouraged to wear a CSA-approved helmet. If there is concern for parent safety, the parent may be asked to wear a helmet.

PROGRAM 02

PreCanSkate

PreCanSkate is specially designed for our youngest beginner skaters, ages 3 to 5, who are ready to explore the ice independently—without the assistance of a parent or guardian. This fun and engaging program introduces basic skating skills in a group lesson format, led by our professional coaches and supported by trained program assistants.

Classes are geared towards a safe, playful, and encouraging environment, with age-appropriate activities to build confidence and coordination, focusing on fun while learning foundational skating skills. For improved safety, all PreCanSkaters are encouraged to wear a face cage with their CSA-approved hockey helmet.
